Trail Scout GPS is designed with your privacy in mind. The app does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Your location data is used only on-device to calculate distance and bearing to trails and is never transmitted to any server.

Trail Scout GPS does not collect any personal data. Specifically:

• Location data — accessed on-device solely to calculate your distance and bearing to a trail. It is never stored or transmitted.
• GPX / KML files — loaded locally from your device. File contents remain entirely on-device and are never uploaded.
• No account or registration — we do not ask for your name, email, or any other identifying information.
• No analytics or tracking — we do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting services that collect personal data.

Data Use

How Your Data Is Used

Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing to use, sell, or share. All processing happens entirely on your iPhone or Apple Watch.

Location permission is requested only to power the core feature — finding your distance and bearing to a trail. You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings without affecting other app functionality.

Third Parties

Trail Scout GPS does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs that collect user data. The app operates fully offline after installation.

Children

Children's Privacy

Trail Scout GPS does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because no data is collected, the app is safe for users of all ages.
